{"id":3979,"date":"2022-02-04T16:18:28","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T16:18:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/?p=3979"},"modified":"2022-02-04T16:18:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T16:18:28","slug":"general-stuff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/?p=3979","title":{"rendered":"General Stuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s one of those generaly stuff updates where I cram in some pictures that are not of progress per se but just of life.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3946\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211117_184959.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before Christmas we went to the festival of uplighting at the new RHS garden at Bridgewater near Manchester. The place is lovely, if somewhat unfinished. We are looking forward to watching it grow up.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3947\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211117_185222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d been to the lighting up of RHS Harlow Carr, which was also great. But I think I like Bridgewater better. Just feels kind of fresh.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3948\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211117_185232.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I am so very going to get a set of uplighters for this garden the very next time I feel like I&#8217;ve got money to burn. Yeah right.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3955\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120611.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also I took a few photos of just How We Live Now because you never photograph stuff like that (always photographing the pretty or interesting stuff) and then you forget what it was like just in normal life. So here&#8217;s a bunch of normal life. It&#8217;s a mess.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3953\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120528.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I do look forward to not sharing my living space with all my tools and equipment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3952\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120523.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the junk I have not got round to taking to a charity shop.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3951\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120512.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But that day seems a long way off.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3950\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120502.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We try to make small havens of normality amongsth the building site.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3949\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20211119_120457.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But they get just as cluttered as everyplace else.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, lastly, here&#8217;s an update on that glass painting I did in order to leave it out all winter face up and see how it fared. So far so flawless, even through several hard frosts.
