So, aiming to get back to a flat course of large stones, we picked out a couple of monsters that would fit. But obviously we couldn&#8217;t lift them. So we did like the stonehenge architects of old and built scaffolding.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Gerhard building the wall\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/PICT0002.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That got them up to the level of the base&#8230; but moving them still turned out to be a bit of a task. It&#8217;s amazing how heavy rocks are.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1704\" alt=\"as far as we got on the wall\" src=\"http:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/PICT0004.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/PICT0004.jpg 640w, https:\/\/donatedhouse.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/PICT0004-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Still, we triumphed in the end. And then went and made a cup of tea.
