We want volunteers to come and work on the project. It’s obvious what’s in it for us, but what’s in it for you? Well, it’s a beautiful place and a very nice bunch of people, for starters. We’ll feed you quite well also. Did we mention Grace was a professional baker?<\/p>\n
The facilities are very basic (there is one composting toilet at present, and a shower which is hot, but in an outdoor cubicle.) There’s electricity and one outdoor cold tap, so it’s almost bordering on civilised!<\/p>\n
Most importantly, though, it’s an opportunity to learn new skills in the old fashioned way, by getting stuck in and solving problems on the fly. As we go along, new opportunities to learn stuff (and make stuff up!) arise. There will be\u00a0 woodworking, straw bale building, lime rendering, forest management, gardening, landscaping, and anything else we fancy doing. We all have a set of skills to bring and we intend to share them widely so that everyone involved with the project can walk away with new skills and hopefully new friends as well.<\/p>\n
